Re: Confounded by a "J"
I have Handwriting examples in a book and it appears both i and j look the same. It's been very helpful to me in reading documents. I can scan it and email you a copy if you would like. I'd attach it here but I can't figure out how to do that.

Re: Portale della storia degli Italiani
Carmine,
I am now on both sites and been trying the citations button as you suggested. So far, I am going back and forth between the sons, mother and father. I did notice that you can send for a copy of the record. Do they email it to you? I don't see a cost. I think I will be able to find some new ...

Portale della storia degli Italiani
Has anyone else used this site- very cool. It seems to be for the Cosenza region- I found several members of my family who lived in Roggiano Gravina. The records I found appear to be Military enlistment records. Does anyone know if you signed up at a certain age or where all male babies recorded? I ...

Re: Latter Day Saints Records
These are from LDS- If you go to one of their Genealogy centers and orders the films- you can look through them and find the copies of birth, death and marriage certificates. You can copy them for your own records. This might help you.

Re: Who lived there??
Very Interesting. I was wondering if this may have been a boarding house. I haven't a clue of how you get the the 1910 census or any other without looking for a specific person. Can you tell me how to do that? I have both Ancestry.com and Familytree maker. I found out that multiple family members of ...

Re: Document from Provincia di Cosenza
Nuccia- I really appreciate your help. His name is John ( ? Giovanni) DeMaria. He was born in either Reggio Di Calabria or Reggio Calabria. His date of birth was September 12th, 1884.
