Re: Fattorusso and Ruggiero from Angri, Italy
I have a ruggiero in my family too. Anna Ruggiero was the mother of my great, great, grandfather - Carmine Del Pezzo. He was born in April 1861 in Angri to Anna Ruggiero and Giuseppe Del Pezzo. I would LOVE to find some more information on Anna and Giuseppe. Does Del Pezzo ring a bell to anyone? If ...

Re: Angri, Salerno, Italy
Thanks Marty. I've sent them some letters a few weeks ago, so hopefully I'll hear something soon. I was just hoping there might be some place else to look while I wait. I'll try the births and baptism records.

Re: Pezzo Family - Confused!!
Hi Laura,
I actually found that too and ordered it, but when it arrived, I realized that unfortunately it isn't the right one. The last residence doesn't match and it says she was a widow, which she wasn't, and the amount of time she was in the US doesn't match either. Frustrating right?!!? There ...

Re: New York City Birth Certificate for deceased father
You can order a lot of records from here: http://www.nyc.gov/html/records/html/vitalrecords/home.shtml
I've managed to get a couple copies of death certificates but I think they have to have been before a certain date. Otherwise there are more directions on how to get them. I've also found that ...

Angri, Salerno, Italy
I have some relatives that are from Angri, but I can't figure out which records to look at on familysearch.org that would include Angri. Any suggestions? I'm looking for birth and marriage certificates from the early 1800s. Thanks!

Re: Pezzo Family - Confused!!
Anyone able to help with a death certificate for Maria DelPezzo? She was born in Italy in February 1866. Her maiden name (I think) was Citro. She came to New York in 1893. She was married to my great-grandfather, Carmine DelPezzo. She appears on a 1905 census, and he remarried in 1913, so she would ...

Re: Pezzo Family - Confused!!
Hi Laura,
That could be it. The interesting part is that my grandmother (his granddaughter) was born in 1915 and her middle name was Louise. Unfortunately, she is no longer alive, but it would have been interesting to know if she knew she was named after the second wife.

Hi Laura,
Thanks for that! If this pans out, it will be quite the discovery since no one in the family (that is still alive) knew he was married twice!

Re: Pezzo Family - Confused!!
No that was the Gallo said of the family that had some folks from Angri and others from Torre Annunziata. Suanj and Laura had some good information, but it was mostly about Carmen Pezza's children. They only found one thing on a census about his mother-in-law.
I did take their advance and ordered ...

Re: Pezzo Family - Confused!!
Also based on the 1900 census Maria and Carmine were married in 1887. Maybe that will trigger something!

Pezzo Family - Confused!!
I ordered and recently received the death certificate for my great, great grandfather - Carmine Del Pezzo. The certificate lists Anna Ruggiero and Joseph as the parents. I'm sure they were from some place in Naples, but I don't know which part. Carmine was born in 1840 in Italy and died in New York ...

Address for Official in Torre Annunziata, Naples
Hello,
I'm trying to find a birth record for Maria Luigi Salvatore. According to her son's birth record (Paolo Antonio Gallo), she was born in Torre Annunziata around 1858. Unfortunately, I can't find a birth record on familysearch.org so I wanted to write the town official and see if they have any ...

Re: Looking for information on Carmine Pezza
Got the death certificate for Camine Pezza from New York. Looks like his father's name was Joseph and his mother's name was Anna. Her last name begins with Ruggi but then the handwriting fades a bit. Looks like Ruggiou or Ruggiu. Thanks again for all the suggestions!
