Re: Fiore,Iannaccone,Saponara from Avellino to NJ

Hi Dorothy, I was researching my family tree and got A LOT of help from Tessa and VJ. VJ found your tree and offered to contact you for me. It seems we're RELATED somehow. My grandfather is Luigi Fiore. His son, Otto (Arturo) is my father.

Re: help with comune

And thank you to Marty too!!! The records are not for citizenship and I was thinking of trying to research my grandparents (both born in 1880) more than my father. Does it make sense to do that? And then it would be on microfilm, right? I REALLY appreciate ALL of your help!

Re: help with deciphering

Hi Valarie,
Thanks for helping me again..lol. The name is Karolina Kowalska, my grandmother. Somehow, I don't think Kamil is a polish name and the first letter of the first and last names don't look alike to me.

Hi Tessa,
Thank you for trying to help me. For Angelo (1888-?), I have the 1940 Census and 1942 WWII draft reg. putting him at 294 Delano Place in Fairview NJ. He came on the SS Liguria arriving 10 Jan 1906 http://www.ellisisland.org/search/shipmanifest.asp?MID=11527889490900966752&FNM=ANGELO&LNM ...
