Re: Tomaso Allio

I didn't upload the file yet, because I'm still working on it.

The text reads:

Magnificus Thomas Allio Magnifici Francesci et Magnificae Mariae Zappia coniugum filius aetatis suae annorum duorum confirmatus fuit praedicta die et supradicto Illustrissimo et Reverendo Domino Episcopus. Patrinus fuit ...

Re: Tomaso Allio

Because the marriage records of the parish where Tommaso Allio lived are no longer available and you haven't found anything in the Civil Registry (I assume you've searched extensively there), you've become somewhat reliant on indirect evidence. I've found one for you.
In 1825, the first child of ...

Re: Tomaso Allio

In churches you will find little to no information. Everything has been transferred to the Episcopal Archive in Locri. The current Bovalino is located on the sea. In Tommaso's time people still lived inland in the current Bovalino Superiore.

Re: Tomaso Allio

The Tommaso I have often encountered so far in the baptismal register of the parish of S. Caterina is a U.I.D. So he belonged to the elite of the village. You have to be a bit patient, because it is a very long register that goes from 1736 to 1852, so more than 100 years and it will certainly take a ...

Re: Tomaso Allio

I am busy indexing what is left of Bovalino, but it is going slowly in the summer months. I hope for you that this Allio family are godfathers of children in the only parish with data from before the introduction of the civil registry, so that there will appear some clarity. Check my website every ...

Re: Tomaso Allio

The records of that church begin in 1856. According to people who know, the information was lost in the earthquake of 1783. I don't believe it. I have found too many indications that the books were simply thrown away as waste paper. The awareness of the importance of history in this part of Italy ...

Re: Tomaso Allio

According to the Stato di Famiglia in the Catasto, this family lived in the parish of S. Maria Assunta. From this parish no birth-, marriage-, or death register has survived.

Re: Tomaso Allio

In the Catasto Onciario of 1745 there is a Tommaso Allio. He is 15 years old in 1745. His parents are Franceso Antonio Allio and Teresa Tricarico. The registers of the parish of S. Nicola and the parish of Santa Maria Assunta no longer exist and in the books of the parish of Santa Caterina I do not ...

Re: re: 10 year death indexes for reggio di calabria

There are only 10-year indexes of Reggio Calabria for the years 1866-1895 for births and 1866-1925 for marriages. For deaths there is only one 10-year index. I have published them all on my website.

Re: Vittoria Fiorello Caracciolo/Francesca Delfino

Between 1816 and 1830 in Catona I've found:
22 july 1818 is baptized Francesca Dalfino daughter of Francesco Dalfino and Caterina Comis.
18 april 1824 is baptized Francesca Delfino daughter of Carlo Delfino and Marianna Santoro.
31 may 1824 is baptized Grazia Francesca Delfino daughter of Giovanni ...

Re: Vittoria Fiorello Caracciolo/Francesca Delfino

At her wedding on 18 november 1869 (in church) Vittoria was still named Fiorello and her parents are unknown. I don't know if you are interested, but in case, her groom was Rafaele Zagari son of the late Giuseppe Zagari born in Scilla.
