Re: Translation of Post Card

Very interesting! Thank you for you translating! Nicoletta Colucci was my great grandmother. Colucci was her maiden name. Her husband was Paul Bressi. Both were born in Brooklyn, NY. It was each of their parents who came to America from Italy. My great grandparents maintained connection with the fam...

Translation of Post Card

Hi, before my grandfather's passing I came across this post card he held on to. It is addressed to my great-grandmother who was the last real connection to our Italian roots on that side of the family. I am having difficulty reading the script and translating. Also, no one in my family knows who the...

Translation of Birth Record Emilia Cavallaro

Hi again, I also found my great-great grandmother's birth record. Her name is Emilia Cavallaro. Would you be able to also help translate? Her information is half on one page and half on another. This is new territory for me so her parents names will be totally brand new to my family. No one has been...

Translation of Birth Record Angela Marra

Hi! Below is the birth record of my great-grandmother Angela Marra from Gallico, Calabria, Italy. I just managed to find the document online. Would someone be able to help me translate? I'm having trouble reading the script (I always do! LOL). Thank you in advance!! She later married Diego Morabito.

Re: Need help translating birth record from 1870

Thank you all so much! That marriage record is wonderful. I managed to find the birth record of Paolo Bressi. Would someone be able to translate for me? There's a part in the middle I'm having difficulty understanding. "...di anni trente domiciliate..." Does that mean that lived in Riace f...

Need help translating birth record from 1870

I'm quite amazed I stumbled upon what I believe to be my great-great grandfather's original birth record from 1870 in Riace Italy. His name was Nicola Bressi. However.... the script handwriting is nearly impossible to read. I found a generalized translation of what they typically say but I'm still a...
