Re: USCIS Turnaround time question
I will PM you with the phone number of the person who contacted me for additional info. I saved her number just in case I needed it. She was very helpful. I would think that by now you would have heard something. But of course with the holidays alot of people take vacation time.

Well I tried to fax from work today but apparently my employer blocks international calls from the copier/fax so will have to figure out another way to do it.

This is the address I wrote to:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration

Washington, DC 20529-2204
Be sure to save the envelope if you receive a No Record Found letter. I read online somewhere that the envelope is required along with the letter.

Re: Cost For Italian Translations of US Documents
Thanks JamesM. Do you know if the person on fiverr is certified with the Italian consulate? Did you use the actual translation to send to Italy to request dual citizenship? I will be using the attorney Luigi Paiano and I believe he has his translator certify whatever I send him. He is off for the ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
I will also be using Luigi for our case. My understanding is that his firm does not provide translation services. Is it the case that we have to hire a certified translator and then his translator just verifies that the translation was done correctly?

Re: naturalization
Yes, that is correct. Your grandfather would have needed to be an Italian citizen at the time of your fathers birth.

Re: USCIS Turnaround time question
Took one month for me. I did not do an index search, just wrote a letter to USCIS with all the info on my ancestor. After 2 weeks they called me for more info and said it would take 2 more weeks which it did. So one month total back in Oct. of this year.
