Hi! I was just wondering if there was any Visual or Photography imagery of Sicily, specifically Mezzojuso, during the 19th century. Any resources? Books? Paintings specific to Mezzojuso? Early photographs or daguerrotypes?
Let me know if there is a place or resource to find these?
Thanks!

Re: Gabriele Buccola
Before I order any microfilms, any site might have his parents or family? All I see online is how impactful he was on the scientific community.

Re: Andrea Gebbia aka Scaccia
Thank you for translating this. I appreciate it. Do you know if there is a resource or document from Mezzojuso to indicate if Andrea Gebbia (Scaccia) was married or had children? Or is this the only known account of him?

Re: Andrea Gebbia aka Scaccia
Yes, I am curious about a translation. But it does not look like it mentions where he is from, or any family? Is this a real person? Who was this person?

Re: Gabriele Buccola
Are there any records available for Mezzojuso 1854, or Torino 1885? I am interested in lineage, parentage, or background.
Maybe I would have to order them.

Mezzojuso Cemetery
I have a question regarding the cemetery in Mezzojuso. Is there a way to research family members and ancestors buried in the cemetery in Mezzojuso? Sort of like Find-a-Grave (this site has very few people from Mezzojuso). I want to research if and how many family members and ancestors may still be ...

Would any record indicate what and why she may have been there? Or did Italian records not generally have that type of description?

Hello!
My Italian is not very good. I wanted to check and see if Francesco Rizzo, who died in 1822, had a wife. I could not tell from this death record, which is one of the oldest I have in my files.
Or if it is possible records did not cite wives in the early 1800s. Does this record reveal any ...
