Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
There must be something about 7 August - perhaps it being the date when traditionally judges clear their desks before the holidays - because it was on 7 August 2018 I found myself in exactly the same position as Tomb and others in terms of waiting: Luigi confirmed on 26 August that the court had ...

Nulla Osta from Questura
Does anyone know how long roughly it takes to receive a Nulla Osta from the Questura?
I submitted my passport application at an appointment at the Consulate on 1st February, gave fingerprints and paid fee etc and I was told it would take a couple of weeks or so before my passport would likely be ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Delighted to receive an early Christmas present in the form of a copy of my Italian birth certificate from Luigi by e-mail this morning! The last stages moved remarkably quickly (judgment was only pronounced on 20 July and we thereafter used the 30 day appeal route rather than the six month route ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Delighted to have received an e-mail from Luigi this afternoon with my judgment attached, confirming that on 20 July the Tribunale Civile di Roma granted me Italian citizenship. Finally, the journey that I embarked upon in late summer 2016 with court papers submitted in November 2016 appears to be ...

Re: Very Surprising Results
Is there any way that you can challenge results on ancestry or seek to have a sample re-tested? That does seem rather odd. From my own perspective, my results came back from ancestry as 40% Southern Italy and 34% Ireland / Scotland / Wales, which, with an Italian father and Scottish mother, was ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Just a thought: I now have my sentenza reference number. Am I right in thinking that while the app can be used to check on case progress, there is no online method to download judgments?

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
My third hearing took place this morning and I am advised by Luigi that we now await the judge depositing a decision - hopefully without any further need for documentation this time round! Fingers crossed...
So a couple of developments in my case today:

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
So, news arrives of another hurdle in my court application. Apparently my judge, despite having previously determined that he was satisfied that a decision could be made on my application after the second hearing, has changed his mind.
The issue looks to arise on the basis that given my ...

Re: No clear advise from Luigi Paiano
Luigi Paiano specializes in court cases regarding 1948 issues. The courts will not hear cases that can be handled at the consulate level . If yours is not a lawsuit situation, but you choose to apply in Italy, there are several services that can assist you.
This is something the courts are ...

24/05/2018 deposito atto non codificato
Anyone know what this step means? I have also sent an e-mail to Luigi to check.
This usually means that a document has been deposited with the court. The "non codificato" part means that it's something that the court's database doesn't have a specific ...
