Re: Can you read street name? Does it still exist?
Erudita,
Thank you so much. Thank you for finding out that the street has been renamed to Corso Umberto I. I would have never figured that out.

Can you read street name? Does it still exist?
For Angiolina Maria Giannini, born 14 June 1899, are you able to read the street address where she was born? I have attached the record.
I've taken a guess at Fradueferro but I don't think it is correct. Are you also able to tell me if the street still exists?

Re: Maria Rosaria Loicono – Manifest for GGGM?
Thank you mmogno for the quick reply. Yes, we have this manifest for Alessandro with the daughters Lucietta and Concettina. We have not been able to find his wife Maria Rosaria Loicono, who came over later with the other children Giovanni (around 3 years old) and possibly Letizia. The manifest of ...

Maria Rosaria Loicono – Manifest for GGGM?
Would it be possible to find the manifest for Maria Rosaria Loicono to see when she immigrated to the U.S.? We have been told she immigrated in 1920 or 1921. She was born October 2, 1874 in Troia, Province of Foggia. She would have most likely departed from Naples. She would have been joining her ...

Re: Would an elementary school have records?
I have been trying to locate Concettina Giannini's parent's birth records and would like to ask for help. The birth record for Concettina was in your 13 March post above. The father's name was Alessandro Matteo Giannini and the mother's name was Maria Rosaria Loiacono. Their parent's names were ...

Re: Help with Translation of Marriage Record
This is interesting - and confusing! Can you help me get this straight? Michele Landini had a son Antonio born in 1896 in Lucera. Antonio's mother's surname was Nelucci. Antonio's mother was not Grazia Giannini. Michele and Grazia are married and acknowledge Anthony as their son. He was then called ...

Re: Help with Translation of Marriage Record
Would it be possible for you to look at the marriage record above for Michele Landini and Grazia Cleonice Giannini and see if it has the name of the church where the marriage took place? Or, if it has any information about where the marriage took place? I tried reading it but wasn't able to figure ...

Re: Help with Translation of Marriage Record
I am very grateful for your help. This means so much to me and my family. I am taking my mother who is 79 to Troia so that she can see where her parents lived before immigrating to the U.S., Washington DC. This has been her longtime wish -- you have helped make it come true. Grazie mille!

Re: Help with Translation of Marriage Record
My goodness!! Thank you for the wealth of information. You are so fast. Can I ask a favor? Can you find Antonio Landini, born October 30, 1897, in Troia? I would like to know the address where he was born or lived. Michele and Grazia are his parents (so my great great grandparents). I'm going to ...
