Re: Jure Sanguinis laws changing 2018
People are saying this law is to curve the issue with Brazil using this method to flee to Italy (over 500,000 applications currently) and some have been falsifying family trees.

Re: Jure Sanguinis laws changing 2018
Wouldn’t this technically be unconstitutional to effect people that were born before 2018 trying to go through great grandparents and further for Jure Sanguinis?

Hello, I'm in a facebook group for Italian Dual Citizenship help and the admins stated the government is proposing new law changes to Jure Sanguinis for next week. Should I or anyone be worried about this going forward? What can it entail?

Frigento, italy History?
Hello! I was seeing if anyone has any information regarding the history of Frigento,
I'm a descendant of the Famiglietti's (I believe the original settlers of Frigento), Calo's and Abbondandolo's. I would love to know any history regarding the families origination here.
They seemed to all marry ...

Re: Marriage Question
Antonia Abbondandolo was her mother.
Francesco Calo was her father.
Margherita Calo (the child of the parents above) is the person I'm looking for.
Her married name would be Decarolis as she married Vincenzo Decarolis.

Re: Blind Marriage Help
What about the name and year of marriage record?
I don't have a year for the marriage, just that the wife Margherita came from Frigento, Italy to USA in 1912 and her husband Vincenzo was already in the USA. So, I would possibly guess sometime right before 1912, I'm going to look harder into ...

1812 town names help
Hello, with the help of Tessa78, she helped me find a document relating to two sets of ancestors around 1755 and 1764.
The towns are listed on their children's marriage certificate:
