Re: Travel from Brazil to Italy - Do Records Exist?

PippoM,

Thank you very much! I had been looking for Anapolis with that spelling, rather than with the spelling you linked. I live close to a Family History Center, and will search for my distant cousin's birth record the next time I'm there. Hopefully, that will lead to other records.

Re: Travel from Brazil to Italy - Do Records Exist?

No, I don't know where she was married. She and her husband had a child (my grandmother's 1/2 first cousin) in Anapolis, Brazil in 1905. That information comes from the cousin's US naturalization papers, and I haven't found anything online about records for Anapolis. On the 1901 paperwork for their ...

Travel from Brazil to Italy - Do Records Exist?

Do records exist that show the names of people traveling to Italy? Specifically, I’m looking for records for travelers sailing to Italy from Brazil between 1901 and 1911.

My 2nd great-grandmother, Rosaria Babuscio, her second husband (Pasquale Dente) and their two daughters sailed from Naples to ...

Re: Can You Help Identify This Town

TerraLavoro,

Thank you very much for the quick reply! That might be the answer, since it fits with what I know about the family. I never guessed that the fourth letter might be a "b".

Previously (and just now) I've pulled up indices with lists of towns in Cosenza province, and Cribari does not ...

Re: Can You Help Identify This Town

Sorry. Submitted document before I could finish my request. I cannot read the handwriting to identify the place of birth for Francesca Chiodo, whose death certificate is attached. She died in 1844 in the Feruci neighborhood of Trenta, Cosenza district. Her son was born in Feruci in the late 1790s ...

Re: Ancestor Died in Italian Prison in 1811

Suanj,

Thank you again for the advice on how I might be able to find some sort of documentation in Consenza's Diversi records about my ancestor. I appreciate your help.

Re: Ancestor Died in Italian Prison in 1811

Suanj, Thanks very much for the link to the Magli record.

Have you (or anyone on the forum) ever seen prison death records before? If so, does a prison usually record the death in the local town where the death occurred? I've looked alphabetically and chronologically in the Cosenza death records ...

Ancester Died in Italian Prison in 1811

Looking for guidance on how to go about finding information concerning the criminal conviction of a many G-grandfather who appears to have died in prison in Cosenza in 1811. A record of his death was made in his home town of Feruci/Trenta months after it occurred, and was noted in the processetti of ...

Thanks to both of you for your replies. I had hoped there was some other way to obtain the information, but was not optimistic and expected I would have to contact the towns directly.

Post-1865 Records for Abruzzo, L' Aquila Prov., Sulmona District

Is anyone aware of an online source containing civil or church records for the province/district shown in this subject line? Specifically, I am looking for records for the towns, Villetta Barrea, Civitella Alfedena and Scanno. Based upon other records, I'm pretty certain two of my great-grandparents ...
