Does anyone now where I can find a standard form letter to use to write to "city hall" in Italy requesting information on my Grandparents. I would prefer to have an English translation and/or both.

Both of my grandparents were born in Italy and came to the US in the late 1800's/early 1900's. I have a copy of their passport and the name of the ship that they came in on. I also know the region in which they are from, however, this is where it ends. I have no idea how to trace my roots back to ...
