Re: NARA "No record of Naturalzn." VS. BCIS "

Italian naturalization law is based upon Italian customs rather than American regulations.

In Italy all naturalization records are held at the Italian archives in Rome, because of this Italian law supposes that all foreign naturalization records are held in the national archives of foreign ...

Re: surname change at ellis island, or after?

I know that Peter is going to say that I am wrong, but here is my story.

I had a relative that changed his last name and the Houston Consulate told me that I needed a letter from a judge stating that the names were of the sam man.

I have a cousin who is married to a judge. He wrote a letter saying ...

Italian Resume Format

Does anybody have an example of a resume written in Italian?

I am hesitant about simply translating my english one into Italian because there might be problems in the formatting.

Re: Italian Professional Titles

So, are you saying with a bachelors I can sign my name Dott. Pizzo?

Also, do you think that many Italians that use the dr. title in english are not actually doctors in the American sense?

Italian Professional Titles

I have noticed that almost every Italian is a dottore o dottoressa. I think that dottore only means that one holds an university degree.

Since I have a bachelors degree, can I use the title dottore when writing letters in Italian?

Also, when I finish law school, do I use avv. Pizzo?

I know it ...

Re: Alternative to US Birth Certificate for It Citizenship

Mr Pizzo The person who posted the inquiry advised this forum that hios father refused him permission to obtain his birth certificate. Where do you come off telling the inquirer to disrespect his fathers wishes, lie and commit fraud (which it is!!!!!) on this forum. Your street attitude is just ...

Re: Alternative to US Birth Certificate for It Citizenship

What state do you live in?

In Texas, I just went to the vital statistics office with a list of all the certs that I needed (12 in total) and they didn't ask a question.

Re: Obtaining the NARA "No Records" Document

The INS is the "custodian" of the records. Are you not american or are you just a lawyer speaking in legalese? But, the Consulate told me that since the INS is incompetent, that they do not accept stuff from them. How nice!! They want documents from the archives, the people told me there that they ...

Re: Obtaining the NARA "No Records" Document

I went to the Archives in Washington a while back. They provided no help whatsoever. Essentially, they said that the archives have records of records that exist, but not records of records that don't exist.

Re: Obtaining the NARA "No Records" Document

Thanks once again, you have been a great help. I am going to look at the website tonight. The N-600 has a large filing fee, I am not sure if I am that desperate yet.

If anybody out there has been able to get the "No Records in the Name of.." document from the national archives, please email me. I ...
