First go to Ellis Island.org and search first for Vincenzo Caputo born about 1871. Look for an arrival date before 1916. Then look for Maria Bruno born about 1897. See if they can be found on the same ship or from same town. A longshot! Maria was only 19 when Rose was born and already had 2 children...

Parish records are your only option before 1809. Priests don't often do research (they don't have time or interest)

After 1865 birth records are held in the Comune di Pescina. You will need to write for the record.
Before 1865 they can be found on line at Family Search or Antenati.

The State Archives do not issue copies except under very special circumstances.

You can write to them enclosing an addressed envelope and photoID or pay a service to get them. I assume for citizenship purposes?

Are you saying that you have contacted the Comune and they won't provide a birth record unless you know the names of the parents?

Since they keep there birth surname, finding a death record will tell you who they married.

Many female children have the first name Maria followed by another name they often use daily or in conjunction with Maria. Mariantonia, Maria Rosa ecc. The second copies held at the Tribunal were destroyed in WW2 (like many other towns). The first copies are still held by the town.

If you need them for dual citizenship you will need to get official copies from the Comune offices.

Specialized workers from other parts of Italy often came to towns devastated by earthquakes or other natural disasters to help with the reconstruction. They often married a local girl and stayed.
