Hi all,
I looked up Michelangelo Repole on Ellis Island website and found a passenger record stating he arrived in the US on Nov 24, 1912 on a ship called 'Calabria' which had departed from Naples. However, when I clicked on the original document I found that an incorrect passenger list had been scanned in its place. This listed the ship as "Ivernia' which sailed from Palermo to New York. Can someone please help me track down the correct passenger list, or give me some idea of where it could be found.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nick

Re: Looking for Passenger list please
Dear Nick sometimes the correct manifests are attached to other manifests and just keep clicking down the entire lsitings of manifests. If that does not work then see if the Repole sunrame shows up on the Ivernia at the end of the manifests. Sometimes passengers on one ship were off loaded and kept on ellisisland for some adminsitrative reason and were not admitted into the USA on the ship they arrived and after their immigration problem was resolved they were put on the next incoming ship after they were cleared for admittance into the USA and their names added on the manifest of the later ship which in your case is the Ivernia..Please let me know if this works.
The ellisisland.org websigte now lists ship arrivals as a new feature. =Peter=

Re: Looking for Passenger list please
Also as an FYI if you know the ship and date you can go directly to that manifest using Steven Morse' enhanced search for Ellis Island
Go to
http://www.stevemorse.org/ellis/boat.html
Enter the ship info then page through the manifest using +1, +2, +3, or +4 depending on how the pages are produced. Sometimes you will see 2 to 3 pages in between the manifests (doctor's reports, captain's reports and such) once you get a rhythm on how the manifests are presented you can scan a ship quite quickly.
