steeve,
Have some info...my ancestors are from Campobello, Italy (Sicily)
My G-G Grandparents came through Ellis Island in 1915 on the Dante Alighieri (spelling?).
Great-Great Grandfather - Rosario (also went by Russell) Giordano b. 1886 d. 1964??
He married Carmela Gueli b.1896 d.1977
Their daughters were Maria Antonia(could have been a cousin), Rita (also went by Rose), Crocifisa (also known as Christina??)
Think they also had a son Carmen (married Francis) and other family Mary and Filomena (aka. Phyllis) after they arrived..?
My Great Grandmother was Rita/Rose b. 1903 d. 1988 - She married John Bosco and their daughter is my Grandmother - Ida who was an only child (from the Buffalo, NY area).
Rita also married again to James Calo/a.
Christina who would be my great aunt married a Nocera I think (John or Jack??) they had a daughter Connie (married Joe Biondalilo?) and I think sons John(changed his last name to Nelson), Russell??
Let me know if any of this helps..
I have been doing research on and off for about 10 years...and have not gotten very far..

Re: lookin for researchers w/ common ancestors from campobel
my great-grandfather was Gerlando Farruggio, born 1878 in Campobello, Sicily. He married Serafima Tomaselli about 1900; had 3 children Maria born 1901, Irene born 1902 and Michele (later changed to Remo) born 1905. Emigrated to New York 1915 with Maria on the ship Dante Alighieri; rest of the family came in 1916; after he was widowed in about 1919, he married Teresa (?) in about 1921. Lived in Bronx, New York City. Died 2/19/1963. Teresa died in 1966. Gerlando's father was Michele Farruggio, who may have died in Tunisa during an earthquake.
