There are several Borgese in Polistena. You may check on your own on the white pages.

A basic site about Polistena, in English, can be found at http://en.comuni-italiani.it/080/061/

Take a look in surrounding towns as well. My great grandmother's family lived in Polistena before shipping to NYC, but my great grandmother was born in Melicucco, which is just under 4km from Polistena.

Not familiar with that surname, but my grandmother was born in Polistena. Her maiden name/surname was Carlino. She lived in Spadola and then emigrated to Hartford, CT, USA. Is anyone familiar with the Carlino family in Polistena? See also my posts under Spadola.
Researching DeFrancesco, Carlino from Spadola, Provincia di Vibo Valencia and Polistina, Provincia di Reggio Calabria; Daversa from Accadia, Provincia di Foggia and Nesta from Leone, Provincia di Avellino.
