Silvilla does not appear to be the correct spelling. Go to ellisisland.org website and look over the variety of spellings and then perhaps you can come up wioth the correct one and locate her arrival into the USA as as immigrant. Sadly, we are not clairvoyant. Peter

There is a death record for Silvilla in Louisiana during the period 1900-1959 and Alabama from 1900-1949. You can write to www.italrec.com for each state involved but without knowing where the Silvilla died in each date may make it difficult, however, since Silvilla is your mothers surname and her death may have occurred in either Louisiana or Alabama it would appear that she entered the USA at New orleans. Does this bring to lioght any information you can provide me about her arrival in the USA??? Peter

Now you can file form 81 with NARA at www.genealogylookups.com/narchives.htm and mail to National Archives NY office,NARA 201 Varick Street, New York, N.Y. 10014-4811 for her arrival records You can speed things up if you call 212-401-1620 for the fee amount.

Furthermore there are 4 Silvilla in the USA. One is Mathew Silvilla in Connecticut and Maria, Emil and Armando in California. You can ygo to www.infobel.com for USA telephone directory.

Hope this helps. Peter
