Translation Birth Certificate - help

Post by VaDeb »

Thanks to previous help from Suanj and Tafford Cole’s book I have been successful in interpreting a birth record, except for some difficulty with the last 3 handwritten sentences. I am not sure of the spelling of the underlined words. Any help would be appreciated.

This is from Amantea, Calabria in 1909. The birth was not reported by the father.

La dichiarante ha denunziare la nascita suddetta pevaver sessetto alparta
della Spinelli ed in luogo del marito di essa, il quali non l’ha potuto
denunciare perchie assente dal comune.

The declarant has charged the aforesaid birth ?? of Spinelli (mother) in place of the husband who is not able to make the charge because he is absent from the comune.

La stessa dichiarare i stato por’ da me dipanare dal presente(rmi)? il bambino suddetta, a cagione del tenepo piorop dopo d’essermi altrimenti accertare della verita della nascita.

The same one to declare and state ?? from me to dipanare from the presente(rmi)? the aforesaid child, to cause ? after otherwise make sure of the truth of the birth.

Letto il presente atto agli interessanti viene sottoscritto da un testimoni
e da me, essere l’altri e la dichiarante analfabetico

Read the present document to the interested, it comes undersigned from witness and me, the declarant and other being illerate.

Hi Debbie:shortly meant:
1-The child has declared from obstetrician, assistant partorient Spinelli mother..
2-official of registry office has assessed itself that child birth corresponds to truth..father absent means that it is absent in that period, why not present in Common, therefore left while the wife was pregnant, and when the wife has give birth he was not present and she could not declare the birth, as normally it happens...
3-obstetrician and witnesses are illetterates. the official read the document of birth and signed for all why they do not know to write

take care, suanj

Thanks Suanj, for your help once again.

My next purchase is going to be a book on Italian verbs, I think this will be very helpful.

I could not find it in my dictionary on Babelfish translation. Can you translate? Perhaps I could not find it as I have misread the spelling, but it did appear clear in the document.

My previous post is incomplete. A slip of the hand and the message was on its way before I was done. Sorry.

Hi Debbie: this words, are part of formulas in italian burocratic language, do not have particular meaning.
With these words, the employee of office declares to have executed out its engagement of assessment in the just time...regards, suanj
