Birth record translation: is he an orphan?

Birth record translation: is he an orphan?

Here is the section of a birth certificate (from Milazzo, Sicily) where usually there is the name of the father's father. In this case, there is no name, but a few words that maybe someone can help with. The cut off word on the left is the remaining part of his last name, Anacreonte. It looks like "di quoti padre" to me, which maybe could be something related to this issue.

looks like - 'di ignoto padre' - of unknown father

I don't believe that the clerk meant that there were many fathers although unknown..
