There are 4 churches in San Giovanni in Fiore. Go to www.paginebianche.it and insert the word PARROCCHIA in the first line and the name of the town in the third line and click CERCA for the listing of all 4. Peter

Hi there

My great grandparents also are from San Giovanni in Fiore and settled in the W.V. area. Theie names are Saverio and Serafina Mancini or Mancina. My grandmother Saletta Manini(a) moved back to Italy with my grandfather - Giovanni Talerico. Is this too much of a coincidence or are we talking about two differnt families. Perhaps your ggrandparents are related to my grandfather?

You are more apt to obtain the information on micorfilm from the family history library for the town of San Giovanni in Fiore whcih has civil records dating back to 1810. The churches are not mandated and it depends upon the local curate to respond or not as he see s fit. The usual doinatiuon is $15.00 whikle the rental for the micorfilm is about $3.00 and its near yoiur home. Peter
