Antonia Martora

I have found the birth act on microfilm from 1888 for the Antonia Martora whom I still contend died as a baby and whose record was used in place of my grandmother's record from 1890. The 1888/1889 death records are not on this film. I need this translation for my documentation.

This is #500 Birth Record for Antonia Martora.
Born 7 September 1888 at 9 PM
Father - Pasquale Martora, 36, (can't read occupation)
Mother - Maria Tamburrino
Witnesses: Gaetano Persico (sp?), 36, peasant; and Raffaele Luongo, 29, peasant.

The notation at the left indicates a marriage to Fioravante Ianniello on what looks like 17th or 8th November 1910 or 1920.

Looks like the same birth record that was used for the Marriage act.

I believe that is the only solution. I have looked at 1889 & 1890 films and not seen it, so I presume it would have to be 1888. I have not ordered that film yet. If you still have access to the thread where my 1890 grandmother was translated, could you see if the address is the same? Just trying to cover all angles.

Antonia Mattora No. 286

The year 1890, May 6, at 10 AM at the Town Hall. Before me Michele Valle, Mayor, official of the town of S. Maria Capua Vetere, was presented (appeared) Pasquale Mattora, 38 years old, peasant (contadino) living in this city. He declared that at 3 Am this morning at the house at via S. Erasmo, Maria Tamburrino, his wife living at the house, gave birth to a female baby which he presented and gives the name of Antonia.

Witness given to the above by Francesco Furajulo (not sure of this spelling), 30 years old, (can’t read the occupation), and Raffaele Tallo, 53, peasant, who also reside in this town.

The birth address of Antonia Martora born September 7th 1888 is Via Anfiteatro.

And her brother Salvatore was born on via Caserina in 1885. Maybe they moved a lot??? I hope so. I guess I will know better when I find that morti.
