I now think my husbands family came from the Campania region. Can anybody give me any information on this region. I also found out that his grandfather was a confectioner, I know this information is of no use in my search but it sounds much more exciting that my mothers ancestors who all worked in mills, which was about the only thing they could do around 200 years ago.
What is the best way to find out where his grandfather was actually born. Can I find out by writing to someone?
