My last five documents for translation

This site has been very helpful! If someone could decipher and translate these, it would be so helpful! These are the last of the Italian receipts and certificates I have found. Thanks to help from this site I understand who my ancestors were. Many other people have the same type of documents and your translation work is helping so many. Thank you!

I know this is Bruno Fiorino's approval of emigration, but what else does it say? It says something about Colorado, which is interesting because I didn't know my GGrandparents went to CO before Washington state.

The first document is a Consent to Emigrate, but not for Bruno. It is actually a request (dated 10 December 1903) by a notary, Saverio Vecchio, in Trinidad, Colorado; with witness being given by Giuseppe Maio son of deceased Giuseppe, and Vincenzo Iachetta son of deceased Gaetano, both from Grimaldi, Italy, and residing in Trinidad, Colorado.
Bruno Fiorino, son of Pasquale a laborer, born in Dipignano, Province of Cosenza, Italy, and residing in Hastings, CO, states that his wife Vittoria Filomena Fiorino born Maio, and his child named Teresa, are residing in Grimaldi, Province of Cosenza, Italy, and want to join him at his current address. He requests that they be provided passports to freely leave the country and reach their father and husband.

Signor Vecchio has heard this from Bruno Fiorino, who cannot write, so the notary is writing for him.

The first "ticket" (which I think might be a certificate for emigration)is that of Giuseppe Maio. the left side seems to indicate that there is no criminal record for this person.

The second one is for Luisa Filomena Maio (his wife?) daughter of Pietro and Rosa Potestio (sp?), 20 years old.

The third is for Rosa Potestio (sp?), age 45 or 49.

The fourth is for Bruno Fiorino son of Pasquale.

Did everyone leaving Sicily have to have a Consent to Emigrate? If so, where would the record be located?

The consent to emigrate was (and is) due in case of minor children for everyone leaving Italy.

How would I find the consent to emigrate from the port they were departing from, in this case Palermo or the town they lived in, Campoforiato? We can't seem to find their arrival to the US. I think I found I might have found the husband but am not 100 percent sure it is him.
Would the consent to emigrate indicate where they were going? (Port of arrival in US)

T, I find it all VERY exciting and I so appreciate you and the others on this site. I didn't mean to cause a face! I was trying to affirm your work! Really, it should be a face!

I just got into family research--no one in my close family was interested. But, then my nephews were born and I feel this need to tell them who we are. Only, I didn't know and no one else seemed to care. But once I started telling them, they have got "the fever" too! My dad has started talking about Bruno and Filomena and other memories, which is great-we didn't know he remembered them! These are crazy wonderful documents to me and I love just looking at them. I just don't know what they say! Someday, I hope to be as much a help to someone else as you have been for me! Thank you!

Most of us share similarities to your story. Other family members can't resist when you begin to tell the "storia della famiglia"...

Just want you to know that the left side (criminal record) for each of the documents you posted shows that there is NO criminal record.
The document wording is similar, with the exception of the last (Bruno's) but they all declare that the person is clear to work.

Here is the first one ...

LEFT SIDE
No. 19320
The penal counsel of Cosenza certifies that no account exists of Giuseppe Maio, born 18 Sept(?) 1849 in Grimaldi.

RIGHT SIDE identifies...
Giuseppe Maio, son of deceased Giuseppe and deceased Anna Saxxxxx, farmer, 54 years old, from Grimaldi.
