My recognition documents state I was born in the city where my parents lived, but I was born two cities over where the hospital was. In the US I have always stated "place of birth" was the hospital city. Do I do that for Italian documents (passport application for starters), or use my home city as per the Italian recognition document?
This was all perfectly clear in my application and documents.
Looks like Italy refers to the city of residence as the place of birth, right?
Already, a question (re passport for starters)

There seems to be a tendency to get this screwed up for some reason. Ideally, your name, date, and place of birth should be exactly as shown on your US birth certificate.
