Quick question, one I should have asked the Consulate. Do you have to register you wife and children when applying jure sanguinis? I was under the impression you did, but I've seen older post here that make me uncertain. Anyone know, please respond.
Thanks
Register all family members?
Re: Register all family members?
When you apply, you submit your marriage certificate and the birth certificates of your minor children. Your minor children will receive citizenship recognition when you do. If you married before 1983, your wife (assuming you are male
) will automatically receive citizenship recognition with you, so her bc should then also be submitted.
You do not submit birth certificates of your adult children or of your spouse if your spouse is male and/or you married after 1983. Their birth certificates are submitted if/when they apply on their own behalf.
