Thank you!! I noticed what would appear to be a name "Stefano" on that same page..It is located on line #17 from the top. I know Stefano was one of my great great grandfather's brother.

That is "Don Stefano Debarbieri" who was the official.

:-D

Possible correction...
Antonia Dondero (mother of Antonio Casassa) was deceased.
The age 40, probably applies to Antonio, not his mother...

This time you caught me :) ! I don't know why I wrote that Antonia Dondero was living and yes 40 is the age of Antonio Casassa the father of the newborn Luigi

Hoping that someone can help me figure this out..I think i'm getting confused with all the "Antonio's" and who belongs to who. Here is my dilemia...

I already have Antonio (brother of Stefano), son of Angelo, age 30 in 1871, born in Moconesi, as husband of Anna Maria
Antonio Cavaguaro who had a son, Angelo Lorenzo Casassa on Sept 5 1871.

AND

Rosa Valente di Giuseppe, as wife of Bartolomeo Casassa (brother of Stefano), who had a child Carola Maria Casassa in 1869.

So... neither records says the child was illegitimate, something isn't making sense... as they are with the wrong partners... or there is an error in the record about the mother and someone mixed up the brothers... Antonio and Bartolomeo?

http://search.ancestry.com/Browse/view. ... rc=&zp=100

Or... Antonio had another child in December, with Rosa Valente... his brother's wife?

http://search.ancestry.com/Browse/view. ... rc=&zp=100

The only thing that makes sense, is that the record is wrong and that Bartolomeo, not Antonio is the father in this record. Bartolomeo's name is found lower in the record, after Rosa Valente... so I'm confused by this one.

I already pointed out (see: http://www.italiangenealogy.com/forum/p ... ml#p160213) that the Antonio father of Angelo Lorenzo was born in Cicagna, while the father of Carola Maria was born in Maconesi. We have to different persons!

I found Carlo Casassa's death record. Tried using an online translator but some of it didn't make sense. If anyone has few minutes to help translate this for me would be soo appreciated. It is entry #2 on the left bottom page.

Thank you very much!

I saw this death record and it looks like Serafina Cavagnaro and Carlo are mentioned in it. It is for a Giovanni Casassa. At the top left entry. I did not have record of him as of yet.
