I have recently obtained dual citizenship (with great help from this website) and I am now trying to contact the comune, Piana degli Albanesi in Sicily, in which I'm registered, to obtain a copy of l'Estratto per Riassunto Dell'atto di Matrimonio for myself.
SInce my Italian language skills are limited (I'm studying, though!), I'm not sure if I'm using the correct email address for my request.
This is the website for Piana:
http://www.pianalbanesi.it/hora.htm
This is the email address I have used from the website:
info@pianalbanesi.it
My emails just get bounced back, saying "user is over quota."
Any help would be appreciated!

Carmine, thanks for the suggestion. I did try that address as well with the same result. I wonder if "user over quota" means their mailboxes are full, ie, don't bother trying to contact through email.

Re: Help contacting Comune
No doubt about it, many comuni seem to never respond to email...

Carmine, do you know if I need to include any payment or ID (copy of passport?) in the letter I send to the comune?

Re: Help contacting Comune
You probably don't have to send any money but I wonder if you are asking for the estratto for a reason (other than you are curious to see what it looks like or to have an Italian marraige record).
Italians don't get official copies of their marriage they ask for an estratto when they need one for some reason, like divorce, or pension or welfare. The copy they get is valid for just 6 months.
Over quota on emails means they are too busy to answer emails because they are doing other stuff.

Re: Help contacting Comune
Ann, I'm requesting the estratto because the SF consulate requires it for my wife's application for citizenship through marriage. I have indicated that reason for the request in my email (now to become my letter).
