Do I need to have naturalization record apostille/translated

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Do I need to have naturalization record apostille/translated

Post by Squigy »

I'm sending off records to be apostilled, today, and I'm just wondering if I should include my great grandfather's naturalization record; also, does this need translated? If so, do I need to translate the cover letter from USCIS and the Declaration of Intent, etc. or just the actual nat. record?

Thanks!
My Italian surnames:

Caserta: Maietta, Rossano, Tessitore, Negro, Peluso, Musone

Campobasso: D'Andrea, Barile

Catanzaro: Fiorelli/Fiorillo, Romito

If you are applying at a consulate in the US you do not have to translate/Apostille the naturalization records. If you are applying at a comune in Italy you would be required to translate and Apostille the naturalization records.
