Does anyone know how to access church/civil records? my great-grandmother came from Stazzema, Lucca. Is there anyway i can get access to these without having to be there?
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Yes you can go to the nearest family history library of the Mormon church for the civil records of your family in Stazzema which are on micorfilm for all births,marriages and deaths from 1866 to 1910. Anything after that youcan get from the UFFICIO DI STATO CIVILE in Stazzema when you get there or you can write to that office for any record. Peter

Funny to come across this, my dad was born in Stazzema, Lucca and still has strong ties back there. He may have known your great grandmother and or family. What was your great grandfathers name or your grandfather for that matter ?
