since there are several names and there entry into the USA may be in a place other than NYC, why don\'t you file form 81 with NARA.(natioinal archives). Go to www,genealogylookups.com/narchives.htm for the form 81 passenger arrivals record. If they passed on after 1963 you can look up their vitals in the social security death iondex as well. Please get back to me . Peter

since there is only one Luca Bosani in all of Emilia Romagna perhaps if you go to www.paginebianche.it and locate the address and telephone number you can contact that person and ask her if she is related to your grandmother.. By the way, is there a Sante or a prospero in the family that came into the USA?? Peter

There are 2 persons surnamed Giansoldati in La Spezia, Liguria region and not emilia romagna. Please consider contacting these two persons in La Spezia as well since a letter in italian or very simple english along with an enclosed envelope and a dollar may yield results. Peter timber

Just leave the part of the indexes out but I would use the NY as port of entry since that is the most used port of entry ...go with the numbers. Chances are once they come across name and date of birth even an approximate year will do for NARA. Good Luck. Peter
