Is this abbreviation from an Italian record? Two Italian words come to mind "municipale" and "funzionante," but they are not used together, as far as I know. If from Italian, possibly "someone functioning in a municipal or town position."

Re: Profession ''mun. fung'' ?
in those records there are also professions like ''privata'', bajulus, agens com.,dolcarius
I believ ''privata'' is housewife because it is coomon among women

The record in question is written in Latin not Italian from what's been posted.

Re: Profession ''mun. fung'' ?
So far I found that the Latin word bajulus, also spelled as baiulus, means "porter."monke wrote:in those records there are also professions like ''privata'', bajulus, agens com.,dolcarius

I am inclined to think that the word "privata" means "unknown," although it is not usually the word I see in Latin records when something is unknown. It looks like the word "private" in English.
From an online Latin to English dictionary-
privata
privatus : private, unofficial, a private person
The word I know in Latin is for housewife is the word "domina"-which in Italian would be donna di casa-lady of the house. The Latin word domina is also used for a "mistress"
dolcarius does not appear to be a profession or occupation. It appears to be a form of the Latin word for pain or any of the possibilities below:
dolcarius
dolens : painfully.
doleo : to suffer pain, to be pained, grieve.
dolor : pain, grief. misery, pain, suffering.
dolose : slyly, deceitfuly.
dolosus : crafty, cunning, sly, deceitful.
dolus : fraud, deceit, guile, treachery, a trap.

Privatus (male) Privata (female)--unofficial; a private person, i.e., someone who isn't a governmental official?

Here's another link you might find helpful in deciphering and translating the Latin professions. I see some occupations on the list-
