Cossi- Italy to South America

Post by JLCossi »

Does anyone know how I can get information on anyone who may have immigrated to South America specifically Peru with the Surname Cossi. I was told that in the early 1900's my great grandfather immigrated from Italy to Peru and am trying to trace back his origins.

Hi There,

The link below might help about Peru Genealogy.

http://www.rootsweb.com/~perwgw/

This link below, you have to register first (it's free) it might help with locating when your ancestor arrived in South America. There are several people with the name Cossi that are in the list.

I'm sorry that I'm not of much help, but maybe someone else in the group might have more information for you.

I wish you luck,
Trish

The name of my ancestor was Alfredo Cossi, and got to Peru sometime during 1870-1890. I am trying to get more information from my family and will post as I learn more. Thank you to anyone who is willing to help.
