On record # 409, the birth record of Vito Lorusso, what does the note starting with the word "Addi" say? I especially cannot find a translation of the word "decedeva". Is this the day he died or something else?

Wow, thanks. That's just one day after he appeared at the civil records office to 'reconstruct' his 1918 marriage record that had been burnt in a 1919 fire. I'm guessing that record # 124 is from 1969 death records and that record is not publicly available yet.

FYI - in that reconstructed record, Vito's occupation is listed as "invalido" [disabled]rp76226 wrote:Wow, thanks. Yes, I knew that. He was wounded in the right eye and face from a bomb in World War I. His brother was wounded in the arm during that war also. Their youngest brother, my grandfather, was 17 and assigned to a medical hospital as a barber. He was cutting a patient's hair who was talking about a handsome young man who was wounded in the face and didn't want to go back home because of it. Then the patient mentioned the name and it was Vito. My grandfather didn't know that he was there and ran to him to convince him to go back home because their mother would be devastated if he didn't.
