Re: Help translating record for Stella Oleander
Thanks Tessa! My next task is to try and find Carmela's birth record.
This is what I was told from a daughter in law of one of Stella's children.
Carmella Rivoltorto, Stella, Ernesto and Giacomo's mom; she was taken in, adopted, fostered or something by the LaManna's. Carmella and Frank LaManna were step siblings and then Frank married Stella Rivoltorto. So Frank married his step sister's daughter. My FIL said Carmella had a fourth child who died in WW1. My FIL does not know the name of the father of Carmella's four children. He thinks he may have been a politician, lawyer something important and Carmella was known as his companion. Maybe he was married or do I dare say a clergyman? Maybe that is why his identity is so hush hush. She did marry and adopted two children (her husbands, presumably Pasquale LaManna) one of the children married Stella (Francesco LaManna). So Stella married her step brother is how the story goes.

I can't help but feel like I'm listening/watching a soap opera while dealing with Carmela and her family.
