Upload a photo for my Avitar?

Hi, I tried to Chose a photo for my "avitar" -
But I got this message after "submitting my bisnonna's image: sc000d85ac,jpg

The avatar’s filesize must be between 0 and 6 KiB. (In Red)
Current image: sc000d85ac,jpg
Maximum dimensions; width: 150 pixels, height: 200 pixels, file size: 6.00 KiB.
What does that mean? & how do I resize it. The boxes below show 80 px x 80 px
