Most probable coming from Sannicandro Garganico(Foggia province/puglia region) why Orfino and Verni surname are present... in fact are an Alfonso VERNI(mistaken on ellis island) but sure is VERNi from direct reading ship's manifest that came in USA, age 28 in 1920, wife Maria in Sannicandro, joining uncle Paolo MAFFEI 155 street, Yonkers, NY, already in USA from 1911/191... and from 1914/1915....
