Occhiocupo, Castagna, & Generosa

Post by coastie »

I'm working on my family geneology and have been working on the family of Vincent and Concetta (Castagna) Occhiocupo my G-G- Grandparents. Have little to no info on the Vincent or where he descendant from. Just found out that Concetta was born 6/30/1864. guess the family were from Atri Italy and surrounding communities. Anyway Concetta parents were Francesco Castagna and Filomena (Generosa) Castagna. Have no info on either of these families.
if anyone if working on the Occhiocupo, Castagna or Generosa families or has any info on these individuals would love to hear from you. My email is austinj22@hotmail.com.

Sincerly Yours,
John Austin

Dear John,

I found this on Ellis Island. A Vinceno coming in with a Guiseppe. However, I'm having a tough time right now trying to locate the actual manifest.

I hope this helps for now.

From what I know about the Occhiocupo part of the family that at least 8 siblings immiragted to the US. of those 8 2 returned back to Italy and upon coming to the US they changed their last name from occhiocupo some took the last name of Cooper and my G-Grandfather took the last name of Copper. They were Sullivan Copper who is my G-Grandfather, Anna, Pauline, Alfonse, Madalene aka Carmela, Anthony, Joseph, and Frank.
I think there might be another 3 siblings though they stayed back in Italy. And there is a Guiseppe though I believe he stayed in Italy so could be that this guiseppe is another relation maybe a cousin somewhere.

Howdy :P :P :P :P Trish, :P :P :P :P

If it wasn't for Dr. Steve Morse and crew's site... we wouldn't be able to find mislinks such as these...

I too had problems connecting to his site (server crash)... wrote to him... (as others) and as usual, he always writes back... truly a wonderful person.

Your efforts and talent in finding info are always wonderful... I know you have helped me... ...

Keep well, Sorriso per me,
Maria :P :P :P :P
