Hi, we are having trouble understanding this birth record. It is #53 and is for Salvatore Crifasi from Montevago, Sicily. In America he went by the Name Salvatore Lamberta Crifasi. In the record In the location for the father we see Maria Monteleone. In the location for the Mother we see Maria Lambarta & Francisco Crifasi. Is this an illegitimate birth ? Can someone please help us read this record.
Thank you for your kind help.

Help with Salvatore Crifasi Birth Record
Re: Help with Salvatore Crifasi Birth Record
The record is dated July 7, 1899 at 9:12 a.m. in the town hall. Appearing to make the declaration of the birth, and presentation of the infant, was Maria Montelione, a levatrice (midwife), age 22. She reported that on the 5th, at 2 P.M., a male infant was born to Maria Lamberto, a housewife, wife of Francesco Crifasi, a sieve maker. Both were living in the town. The birth took place in the house on via Orologio (the house had no number). The midwife made the declaration and presentation in place of the husband, as he was in America. The infant was given the name Salvatore.
