Looking at Death Act 183, the deceased, Mastro Giuseppe Caifano's occupation is fucilaro? I'm guessing this has something to do with guns maybe. Can anyone help with a definition of the word fucilaro and/or what the work might entail. Thank you.

Thank you, Edward. Yes it does, but I'm not sure that's it. The word fucilier translates to Italian “fuciliere” which translates to English “rifeman”. I know for sure that “fucile” is gun or rifle because my dad use to go out hunting and owned a few “fucili”. I'm thinking that, because he is called “Mastro” he was possibly a type of craftsman, maybe. Possibly he built or repaired guns. I'm not sure though. He may have been in the military though.
