Concetta Cocchiola

Post by Uxoiraq »

Hi,

I'm looking for information on my great grandmother Concetta Cocchiola (1884-1959). She was married to Raphael (1883-1961). I have always heard that she was a Cocchiola before she was married, then married Raphael Cocchiola.

I'm looking for birthdays or whatever info you can provide.

Thank you in advance

Jim

I know it was quite a while ago, but do you remember where you found this information?
Thanks,

That's a different Concetta. The original one you researched had the correct birthday (Jan 14,1884), the later Concetta has a birthday in September.

Thanks,
Jim

Did she live in Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut? Were her children Vernon, Charles, Josephine, Florence?

I found the census record from 1930, but it doesn't give much information on a maiden name.

It does say that she immigrated in 1915. It might be worth looking into that year, as ship manifest might have the women's maiden name.

Her maiden name was also Cocchiola. Back in Jan 2016, Krash142 found her. Her birth date is Jan. 14 1884. I was wondering where he got that info, so I could follow up on it.

Thanks,
Jim

I take note that according to your own records as shown on ancestry.com, ie the photograph of her naturalization record, it shows her birthdate, alongside, I noticed, her signature and her photograph.

Thanks! All her dates in Italy are Sept and everything in the USA is Jan. I think it might be the same person. Somewhere along the line, Jan became her birthday and she probably kept it.
