Searching for DiPetro/DiPietro with little documentation

I have been trying to find out the identity of my father's father. He has a birth certificate from Boston, Ma. with the father's name listed as Michael DiPetro. However it may have been DiPetro. I believe my dad may have been conceived out of wedlock and his father and my grandmother were never together. My father never met his father. I have had my brother do a DNA test through ancestry and I have too, but nothing seems to come up from the paternal side just his mother's side (Plouffe). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ancestry.com is doing 1.5 million tests a year, so in time, there will be more hits.

I suggest testing more people, like third cousins. Everyone contains different segements of DNA of their Ancestors.
You need to look at your pedigree chart from your great grandfather down to you.
and indentify all living decendants, so you can test the oldest living ones.

You must also know your pedigree chart back six generations.
What is your closest hit, besides your brother?
