Alanno Paternal Lines
Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
First, thank you Tessa, for explaining the marriage record, you mined so much out of that document. I appreciate your time and translation.
And, thank you AngelaGrace - very kind of you to find Domenico's birth act. I will take it from there and see if I can now find his death act.
This is a wonderful community, filled with such great people. If the "masters" can me translate the unknown, but becoming more familiar, Italian language, it is a GREAT boost to the deciphering of my tree. I'm stubborn enough to persist in the search itself! -- Peonygirl

Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
Thanks, mmogo. I thought I saw children that were both born in same year, but wanted to stay focused on the father. I think these say both Anna Domenica and Pasquale were born on 1 Apr 1813 to, as you have said, Venazio Colangelo and Presseda Michetti. Correct?
My sister will be thrilled, she had twins!

I guess that means it is right, 1 Apr 1813 to Venazio and Prassede. Thanks, Mmogno.

Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
Hi peonygirl - I've been researching several towns in the province of Pescara, including Alanno, and posting these on a blog:
https://noccianogenealogy.wordpress.com ... le/alanno/
I've indexed the birth, marriage, and death records for years 1850-1860 for Alanno, and continuing to index more, to more easily search through the records and make connections. If you're interested, feel free to check out the site or email me at anthony.sacco13@gmail.com since I've got some connections to Alanno myself!

Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
Thanks Anthony. You have a beautiful site. I now have 5 generations of ancestors, am refining them to get birth, marriage, and death records for each. Well, as much as I can. The Pescara side of the family is being a bit pesky in getting death acts. I could not find anyone in your 1850-60 AWESOME list. Thanks for the reminder tho!

Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
New record - Nicola Alberico death act. My question is about the surname of his mother Clorinda.
http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0
12 Nov 1859 – Alanno
Mayor Emio Ruggieri
Reported by Carmine Alberico that Nicola Alberico died on this day. He was husband of Maria Assetta, son of Carmine Alberico and Clorinda ___.
I have Clorinda’s name as Assetta but this does not look like Assetta. If someone can help me determine Clorinda’s surname, I’d really appreciate it.
many thanks, Peonygirl

Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
The mother's surname is unknown.
It states "Clorinda l'ignota il cognome" = Clorinda unknown last name.
FYI... both of Nicola's parents were deceased. The Carmine Alberico who was one of the declarants is identified as his son, age 38.
Edit to add***
On the marriage act of Nicola Alberico in 1811. His mother is Clorinda Assetta.
She was deceased in 1811, so by 1859 it appears that the declarants did not know her maiden name.

Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
That is amazing. Yes, I see that the marriage act says Assetta so will go with that. If she was 27 at her marriage, she was born in 1784. Nicola, it seems, was 79 at his death, being born in 1780. I will go find her death act and see about her husband, Carmine, and wrap up this family. Thank you, Tessa!!!!!

BOTH Nicola's mother and his bride were Assetta... I think you have their birthdates mixed up.peonygirl wrote:That is amazing. Yes, I see that the marriage act says Assetta so will go with that. Maria, his wife, was 27 when she married Nicola in 1811.
Clorinda, his mother, was deceased.

YGood morning. Yes. I have the dates as Clorinda d 5 Nov 1793; Maria, the wife, died in 22 Feb 1853. Not sure how I go about finding out how Clorinda and Maria are related.....but will look at that once I get the majority of death dates for those till unfinished. - PG

Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
I have a death for Smeralda Alberico on 10 Gennaio 1850 in Alanno with parents Carmine Alberico and Clorinda Assetta- so that should confirm that as well!

Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
Thanks, saccolicious. I tried out your db yesterday on your Alanno site. Very good! I am still searching for the death dates of Gaetano Colangelo b 1846, and his dad Domenico Colangelo b 1810. While I did not find them, I did find Nicola Alberico and Maria Assetta - so thank you very much. I will go back and look for others.
If you have not done so already, you should post a link to your beautiful list in the Genealogy section. While the area is limited, it will help quite a few people! -- Peonygirl

Re: Alanno Paternal Lines
New clue to Silvestro Squarserio - b 1813 - to Domenico Squarserio and Nicola Dolci. There are elements which are correct, but am not sure if this is him. I found this in Antenati, Alanno, 1866 as I've been searching through the images.
