Re: Translation of handwritten calligraphy (cursive) on marriage certificate
Top document-list of the documents presented for the upcoming marriage
1. Birth act of the groom
2. Birth act of the bride
3. Act of the death of the mother of the groom
4. Extracts of the notifications
5. Copy of the ? (I can’t read what follows)
Bottom document:
Notification:
On Dec 5th, 1828, the following notification was posted on the door of the town hall
Province of Basilicata, District of Montemurro, town of Spinoso
Notification that Carmine Monaco, age 25, a carpenter living in Montemurro, son of GiovanVincenzo (Monaco), also a carpenter living there, and deceased Caterina Santo; and Maria Rosa Solimando, age 20, daughter of Tommaso (Solimando) property owner, born in Spinoso and Teresa Lauria (sp?), living with her husband, intended to proceed with their solemn promise to celebrate marriage before the Church, according to the terms prescribed by the Sacred Council of Trent. The posted notification did not produce any opposition to the marriage.
