Latin marriage records of Canicattini Bagni

Post by Amansolillo »

Hello. I was recently sent images of several church marriage records from Canicattini Bagni. The records are in Latin, and some are rather sloppily written. Due to my minimal understanding of Latin, here's all that I was able to understand:

Record 1 (http://imgh.us/15252703_102083670676778 ... 9153_o.jpg):

*Santo Uccello and Serafina Gionfriddo
*Marriage occurred on 3 October 1808
*Santo's parents were Corrado Uccello and Girolama? (Hieronyma in Latin?) - can't see/make out last name
*Serafina's parents were Santo Gionfriddo and Maria Ganci

Record 2 (http://imgh.us/15272117_102083670655178 ... 3459_o.jpg):

*Michele Ganci and Paola Tuccitto
*Marriage occurred on ?? February 1752
*Michele's parents were Bartolomeo Ganci and Maria (can't make out last name)
*I can't tell exactly who Paola's parents are, but I see the names Sebastiano, Filippo Tuccitto, and the last name Matarazzo

Record 3 (http://imgh.us/15235356_102083670672778 ... 1509_o.jpg):

*Mariano Gionfriddo and Maria Mozzicato
*Marriage occurred on 1 January? 1737
*Mariano's parents were Antonio? Mariano and Rosaria Reali?
*Maria's parents were Giuseppe? Mozzicato and Anna Rio?

Could someone check to see if this information is correct? Also, are the ages of the bride and groom listed at all? I am very unfamiliar with how Latin records are usually formatted, and with records as old as these, it's rather hard to understand the handwriting. Thanks!

I have never seen Latin church marriage records with ages of the groom and bride. Only have seen ages in Latin church death records. In the mid 1500s, the Council of Trent dictated to the parishes that they had to keep registers/records of the births/baptisms, marriages, and deaths in their parishes. It did not, however, dictate the format that those records had to take. It was up to the individual priest what info he included.
