Marriage translation

Post by cj11788 »

Happy new year everyone.

Can I get a little help with this marriage certificate from 1812. It's number 36.

Looks like Giovanni Filippo Gandolfo where the parents are Matteo and Vincenza (I hope). If so are they alive at this time? If this is his parents why do they mention his name again before his spouse.

As far as his wife, I have no idea.

Thanks,

Chris

Dated Jan 16, 1812

Groom: Don* Giovanni Filippo Gandolfo, from Vizzini, but living in this town (don't know which town the record is from though). He was the son of Don* Giovanni Battista Gandolfo and Donna* Francesca Martelli (written with a i at the end, but may be found written as Martello).

Bride: Donna* Carmela Giliberti, daughter of Don* Vincenzo Giliberti and Donna* Santa Principato, spouses of this parish.

All of the individuals in this record had titles -Lord and Lady-
