Translation of Allegati Records

Post by rp76226 »

I found 5 pages of Allegati records for the marriage of Leonardo Cerami and Gaetana Ilardi on June 28, 1882 in Cerda, Sicily. I do NOT need to know the translation of every word contained within them. I'm just hoping that there is relevant genealogical information (family names and relationships, possibly dates) that can be found within these records. Thanks in advance for any help provided:

First hand written page is concerning the birth of a baby girl Gaetana in Cerda (Palermo province) 12 December 1861. Parents Epifania (?) Coniglio, 34 years, and Angelo Ilardi, 44 years old of profession ?, both resident in Cerda.

Angelo's occupation was borgese (middle class).

Here's an extract about "borgese" which Erudita wrote taken from her research:

"Like the agricoltore (farmer), ........ borgese were middle peasants. They owned or leased, on a long term basis, plots of land that were one, two, or three hectares* in size. They also possessed substantial houses and work animals........ "

Image 1: 1861 Birth Extract No 143: Gaetana Ilardi – details already extracted above.

Image 2: The Birth Extract continues and then half way down starts the Baptism Extract:

No 143: Gaetana Ilardi's Baptism Record from the Parish of Cerda
The Sacrament of Baptism was administered on 20 December 1861.

Image 3: Baptism Record Continues

Image 4 and Image 5:
Death Act No 61: Giuseppa Barbera (Groom's Mother)
Petrana Soprana: 19 June 1866
(Giuseppe Barbera, son of deceased Leonardo, 40 yo, muratore, living in this town, brother of the deceased was one of the men who reported the death.) She, Giuseppa Barbera died the same day, 19 June 1866 at 8 pm in Petrana Soprana. It says "nello spedale civico" so it looks like she died in the civic hospital in the town. She was the widow of Francesco Cerami, aged 33, daughter of the deceased Leonardo, and the deceased Maria Calascibetta, born in this town (Petrana Soprana) living quartiere sotto la Piazza ......

It seems odd that Leonardo's birth record isn't amongst the allegati? Are you sure that you've posted the complete set of attachments? It also seems strange that Francesco Cerami's Death Record isn't amongst the attachments? (It says that she was the widow of Francesco Cerami.)

I can see that these records are on line. Are you able to post the link to the attachments please and I'll just check for you that there are not any further records. It will be good if Francesco Cerami's death act is there because it may take you back further. (Meanwhile, if someone can check that I haven't missed a record. Thanks.)

BTW: When the records are on line there is absolutely no need to post the images like this. It is much easier all round if you just post the links to the respective records you are needing translated. Just bear that in mind next time. :)

Ron, mmogno has provided the "link" to the start of the marriage allegati, and as suspected, also included in this allegati are as follows:

Death Act of Francesco Cerami who died 10 February 1864, husband of Giuseppa Barbera.
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1947613
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1947613

A Certificate which doesn't seem to say anything that you won't find in Leonardo's Birth Act: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1947613

Leonardo's 1859 Birth Extract: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1947613
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1947613

Leonardo's Baptism Certificate starts at the bottom of this page and continues next two pages: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1947613

Leonardo and Gaetana's Marriage Publication: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1947613

If you would like any of these transcribed as well, just repost them (I've provided the links here) and someone will help. I'm a little rushed and have other commitments today.
