Remarriage After Death of Wife

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Remarriage After Death of Wife

Post by nfanuele »

Hello,

I am working on my Jure Sanguinis application, which is through my GGGF>GGF>GM>M>IO. My GGGM died in Philadelphia (1903) a few years after giving birth (1897) to my GGF. My GGGF subsequently remarried my GGF's mother-in-law around 1919.

Would I need her vital records? She appears on the 1920 census, which I am using for proof that my GGGF never naturalized.

Thanks,
Nick

You would not need documents for a second wife if the ancestor was the child of the first wife.
