Familysearch Torino Parish Records Missing
Anyone know why none of the parish records for Torino are available on Familysearch? I am looking to research the San Giovanni Batista in Torino and cannot find any records for 1600-1799. Were they destroyed or not microfilmed?

Re: Familysearch Torino Parish Records Missing
Although you will find that some parish records have been microfilmed, as a general rule the Catholic Church frowns on this practise. Most of the ones I have seen on film are Protestant church records or small parishes filmed by a member of the church (with or without the priests permission) or in Sicily. I am sure there are others but as a rule, they are not being microfilmed.
