#1
Dated 26 January 1881, at the house in via Nicola Brigania(?) #3
Having Lucia Collet, by means of a certificate from Salvatore Galaioto today giving justification for why she could not appear at the Civil Offices for the celebration of marriage to Gaetano Di Benedetto , the official transferred the ceremony to that house...
Groom: Gaetano Di Benedeetto, widower, 45, barber, born in Naples, residing in this town of Castellammare del Golfo, son of deceased Gaetano [Di Benedetto] and deceased Camilla Mattarella.
Bride: Lucia Cllet, 32, housewife, born in Trapani, residing in this abovesaid down, daughter of Michele and of Concetta Dajolone(?), residents of this town,
They presented the official with documents which the official examined, ...the request for publication resulted in no opposition to the celebration of marriage. The Civil code was read to the spouses, and they were asked if each took the other as husband, and as wife; and the official pronounced them married.
Banns were published on 9 and 16 of the current month.
